होइहि सोइ जो राम रचि राखा। को करि तर्क बढ़ावै साखा॥

Time and again, this verse from Shri Ram charit manas has proven right. Who in the world (or in the Unvierse/Omniverse for that matter) can go against fate that is inscribed by the ONE itself. What I am trying to implicate? Well it's almost three years when I posted my last blog and promised to be back sooner, and I tried (honestly), but then there's LIFE and ... you understand right.

Besides, I haven't been just sitting around, my first book, The 7th Incarnation, I completed its Hindi Translation - all by myself 😁 - and, the third and final part of Ram-Janki trilogy is now complete and will be available for your download & read by Dussehra. So with the completion third & final book, let's begin with the final season of my blog-series, starting with the most historical & iconic symbol of LOVE ever. No I am not talking about Taj Mahal since it's far away from the term, love. Besides, even the authenticity of the monument is controversial. So sparing the negativity, let's know the actual symbol of love: RAM-Setu.

We have read about it so many times, heard during preaching sessions and seen it in the serials as well, yet didn't realize it. In spite of knowing it, having understand the oneness of Siya-Ram, the eternal bond they share, it took me a post by someone else to realize that yes, what better could be the epitome that not only defines love, but inspires to strive for it: Ram-Setu.

And that's the beauty of bhakti, it's universal, it's mutual; somethings you discover while some actualization came from others, which keeps our morale high and our feet in ground.

[The real symbol of Love]

Science Channel, an American digital cable and satellite television network that is owned by Discovery Communications, posted a video back in Dec. 2017 that showed images by a NASA satellite, and according to the investigation the bridge is a line of rocks that stretched around 30 miles from India to Sri Lanka. The bigger picture; they finally accepted that it's man-made. Again confirming the authenticity of the epic, Ramayan.

Some facts about the legendary Ram-Setu:

• The 100 yojan (1200 kms approx) long bridge was built in record 5 days duration.
• Trees of saal, ashok, dhav, arjun, taal along with giant rocks and mountain peaks were used in the construction of the bridge with the help of reeds as well as plants with with long & strong stems for fastening.
• A varied set of gears were made to carry the heavy stones and trees towards the sea. 
• At the end of the first day, 14 yojan work was complete, followed by 20 yojan, 21 yojan, 22 yojan and 23 yojan by the end of second, third, fourth and fifth day respectively.
• The unparalleled landmark over the sea, the beautiful and gracious work looked like the ‘swati path’ from the sky.
• While returning to Ayodhya, Shri Ram illustrated landmarks to Devi Sita that fell on their journey during the exile. When showing her the grand bridge made by Nal, he also mentioned the divine ‘Shivling’ installed by him to receive Bhagwan Shiv’s blessings before the construction of the bridge. He told her that this pilgrimage will be known as ‘setubandh’ and will be worshiped everywhere.

So with the discovery by science channel and facts & figures from Valmiki Ramayan presented above, it is clear that the sea bridge to Lanka isn't 'biblical', but historical, from the Tretayug.

Now time to address the BIG question: who built it?

I know the obvious answer that will come to your mind is, Nal-Neel, the vaanar duo. But that's not the fact, or rather not what Valmiki Ramayan says.

Samudra-Dev enlightened Shri Ram and even Sugreeve about one vaanar who was capable to construct the sea-bridge; the son of dev-shilpi (architect of devas), Vishwakarma: NAL.

No, there wasn't any curse of the sages behind the floating stones thrown by Nal-Neel, but the knowledge & skills passed on to Nal from his father.

When Samudra dev revealed his name, he came forward and very humbly spoke to Shri Ram, ‘hey prabhu, from your fear finally Samudra has spoken, I am as capable as my father and will construct a great bridge over the great sea that can carry the burden of this immense army. We will start today.’

As far as Neel is concerned, he was son of Agni dev and hence, architecture wasn't his forte. Although he was an amazing warrior who even dared to fight with Raavarn and eliminated many of his commanders during the Great War.
